Campus Woods: Wood Research, Teaching and Extension Education

Learn about collaborative wood education initiatives underway on UK’s campus. The Campus Woods Program utilizes campus trees that die or are removed due to construction and gives new life through the products made from the wood by students in the classroom. A separate effort with architects, engineers, foresters and wood product professionals aims to develop new innovative structural products from local hardwood trees for more resilient offices, apartments, schools and gymnasiums.
