Could this stress be caused by economic policies like no living wage, no affordable housing, high cost of childcare, high cost of medical care? Fix these and relieve the stress.

Maybe it has to do with low wages, low quality of life, and low pay raises

Shocking news. Non-wealthy parents are under stress, like that is a brand new thing.

I dunno, maybe not fearing your kids getting shot and have them fed in school may help? Also having affordable child care and health care? 🤔

As a teacher whose rent takes up half her wages, I wholeheartedly feel this advice is very helpful for parents. I practically raise their children (especially when parents pick them up late). It's already very stressful for me to deal with parents who don't seem to have the time to hear feedback and often take their stress out on us. It's not fair to any of us. Parents: When you help yourselves, you help your children. They'll learn from you how to better take care of themselves. And that helps educators.

You solve this problem by increasing wages for additional disposable income, and by ensuring that work stays at work.

I would never want to have children in this day and age. All the crap thrown at them is unbelievable, and then throw social media on top of that. Its gotta be tough being a parent.

or we could curb stress by passing laws and policies that help everyday people

Congress is way behind in passing legislation on Parental leave after having a baby, for looking after a sick child / terminally ill child or loved one. What exactly is Congress doing all day? Taxpayers need some answers. In Canada, parents can split their time off after a baby is born. There's maternity leave for up to 18 months. America is way behind. Wake up, America.

It can’t possibly be because Americans are over worked and the pay isn’t worth it but we need to be paid in order to put a roof overhead and eat food. Plus trying to juggle having a family that was probably mostly raised by phones and tablets because parents are already stressed and it’s just easier.
Just saying, I know someone who was forced into a position where they were working 95 hrs/ 2 weeks for 24 dollars and hr. It was only that way due to low staff and it wasn’t going to get better. There was no time for anything else. There was no time for them to even have their own time to unwind. They were put into a position where they had to demote themselves or risk being fired because they didn’t have enough people to be able to perform the job they were hired for. They were stuck in a position where they had to fill other positions in the company and their bosses knew this. So even at 95/bi week, there still wasn’t enough time to do what needed to be done. They were down almost 200 hrs of labor in the area of the company they worked. They needed probably 120 back in order to perform their assigned job. So yeah, not stressful at all being put in situations like this! Where companies can mistreat their employees and get away with it because things like Constructive Dismissal are a gray area in labor law. They took an almost 3:50 dollar pay cut btw just to keep a job! Because they had been there for almost 12 years and they want to move up and are more than qualified to do so, since this person is qualified to train their managers. This isn’t even a degree job. So yeah, if many Americans are stuck doing this crap, being mistreated and taken advantage of, then yeah! But we’re all dogs to this extreme capitalist system.

As a parent of 2 he can relate? Ummm… probably as much as he can relate to not being able to buy a house or go grocery shopping without leaving with nothing.

In Pennsylvania its easier, cheaper and faster to get a legal handgun than it is to get a therapist.
Admiral Walter Mitty wont talk about that.
