Another suggestion for an AF ultra-wide on the A7C - the Batis 18mm f2.8 is very light and gives great image quality. I love that lens.

My travel bag now has 2 tiny cameras, 1 mic and 1 gimbal with a total all-in cost of $1, 500 US. Sony ZV1 with the Ulanzi WL1 wide angle Lens, GoPro Hero9 Black (with mic adapter & in the Ulanzi plastic cage), Rode Wireless Go and the Zhiyun Crane M2. Hopefully I get to travel soon and get to do something other than buy gear and test it.

Don't be sad about the 80% and 20%. On my main channel it's the same. However, I'm VERY content with that. The reason why is because that means that Youtube is rolling out your videos to new viewers. Which basically means you're getting a broader range of audience. Once some of those subscribe, you'll see the numbers fluctuate again. It's normal. I'd be pretty sad if it was 80% subscribed and 20% not subscribed. That would mean I'd have a very loyal fanbase, but I wouldn't reach new audiences.

I love your channel and it has helped me a lot.
I have sold my old Sony a7 II because it was too big and heavy and afterwards I bought the Sony a7C because it is reasonably small and light and above all more discreet.
Actually the Sony a7C beyond the same sensor has very few similarities with the Sony a7III.
Some differences are very obvious like the single memory card slot and some others are not and require to study the official Sony 600 pages PDF guide.
The less obvious difference are: The first curtain of the shutter is only electronic instead of optionally mechanical, the maximum sync speed is 1/160th sec instead of 1/250th sec, the maximum shutter speed is 1/4000th, instead of 1/8000th sec, no optional battery grip since the battery door can't be removed at all, the viewfinder magnification is 0.59x instead of 0.78X, no infrared remote control with many functions, four screws on the flange mount instead of six, the screen can't be viewed with polarized sunglasses, no Multi Frame Noice Reduction mode, no Panorama mode, no selective scene mode.

I am an old Minolta a-mount amateur photographers since the late 80's and I have some a-mount lenses. The a7C was launched after the introduction of LA-EA5 new a-mount to e-mount adapter without the pellicle mirror for screw driven lenses and after the a6600, a7R IV which full support it, the a7C should be full compatible as a younger camera but it isn't.
That made me very sad.

Great in-depth video breakdown Gordon. I was stuck between the A7C and the A7iii. I am now leaning towards an a7iii as this will be my first "real" camera. Venturing beyond just an interest in photography/videography to a daily passion. With the a7iii being on sale, I believe it is a better option to get that and a decent lens vs the more expensive a7c. Maybe even use that $300 difference and pickup a ZV1 as well for vlogging and product reviews. Love that product review function that is missing on the more expensive cameras.
