Idk what they’re talking about when they say they want to reduce the damage of heat burst. It’s not that damaging to begin with. I just wanted them to limit the range a bit and allow people to sidestep it if you know your opponent is gonna use it

Just going off what they said, 4 almost makes it sound like the general flow of the game will be the same but less damaging and slightly more character variety. Id rather it be more difficult to pull off those things and the damage remain the same. Other than that it seems like it'll be a step in the right direction. No way to tell til the 11th, but I'm glad they are being receptive to us.

This could be just me, but it surprises me that fighting games dont really use "b patches" or at most really rarely (from what I noticed, could be wrong about this). Making some big changes in one patch, and the next one will be more about bug/unintended interaction fixes, and addressing some heavy outliers from what they intended. Then with the next big patch they can shake things up again. At least from my perspective it could give people time to learn and adapt, but there would also be some regularity, not just leaving everything for a good chunk of a season basically untouched.

As a Jun main I felt very seen with that quick comment acknowledging how we all felt when the nerfs came. Like WHY super nerf me when you were gonna make me wait months for the rework.

I can see the thought process with nerfing the damage for heat bursts and throws. Yeah nerfing tracking and stuff makes sidestepping better, but nerfing damage makes sidestepping less dangerous as well. Less opportunity for exploding just for side stepping

Word on the streets is that there not nerfing throw damage per say but nerding throw tracking

1 of the most annoying things i. This game is ppl doing round start heat burst every round and even tho i know they will i can't do anything about they and they instantly are able to pressure you for free

Paul should not be getting no type buff man can use a 6 hit combo to do damn near 70-80 dmg so nahhh this bout to be a big love or hate for the community

I don't think it's tracking of throws that's problem per say, it's more so that they have a vacuum effect sometimes, that and some moves just have insane reach for no reason. I run into throw problems like that mainly against Steve but I'd backdash or move away from a throw and get hit by it anyway. Or I'd backdash a snake edge from Bryan and get hit it by anyway. Or someone does a heat burst with a sizeable gap in between us and I still have to block. If they fix those instances, I don't think I'd have complaints. Except against King. I got a full list on him but it's mainly an issue of damage along with get good and counter him

They should reduce the tracking on heat bursts and throws. If they think nerfing the tracking would make them too weak maybe adjust the tracking to match the movement (left-handed throws track only left, right-handed throws track only right, two handed throws don’t track but smaller escape window, etc. Lees burst specifically needs a bigger hitbox but the tracking should be reduced along with all imo

11:58 they have definitely been reaching the point of overpatching this game. If they let the game breathe they can allow people to find actual gameplay issues that are genuinely problematic while letting people play the game without having to relearn different versions. Fighting games need time to be left alone for periods of time. If there are difficult moves to deal with, people will lab and adapt and then those moves will be used less because of the adaptation. Patching isn't always the answer.

Im not sure this patch is exactly the direction people want. It feels like they are just trying to avoid big nerfs or changes. I dont think this patch will accomplish nerfing offense or aggression

I’m still an Azucena main, her running 3, 2 deserved the nerf, but they over nerfed her IMO, particularly her jabs.
