No explanation required, but sometimes it's good to hear about something you already know or like, especially when it's so expertly told, and emotionally felt. Lots of feelings here.

suite española sounds incredible on guitar, just listen to Segovia playing Granada, a lot of people would miss it

His opera, Merlin, is worth a listen.

I make a plea again for Walton. If I have to pick—Symphony 1. But I’d be happy as well with the Violin Concerto, Gloria or Belshazzar’s Feast, or maybe the Quest. All are characteristic masterworks.

I am thinking that the only work you could choose for Schulhoff is... no, I won't guess, I'll patiently wait. On a side note, I just listened to Radu Paladi on Capriccio. He wrote very little, but he had wonderful talent, going on this disc of his piano and violin concertos. Reminds me of Riisager, with a Romanian accent.

Hello Dave! Wonderful video as always!
I hope you are going to suggest saving a Scriabin piece from Cancrizans in the future. Best whishes!

How about choosing one work by Arvo Pärt? I think this will be very difficult, because of the huge range of styles and genres that he employed.

Hello Dave, what are your thoughts on the various orchestrations of Iberia? I've always thought them to be a disappointing shadow of the piano originals. Though I agree Iberia is the clear and only choice for Albeniz, I'd also add that a lot of Albeniz's piano music has been transcribed for guitar, and it remains an essential part of guitarists' concert and recorded repertoire. I'd guess that it's some of these pieces that would be more familiar to a lot of listeners. I really enjoy your channel! 🙂

Probably the most obvious choice so far……

Dave, what about C.M.V. Weber? Beethoven summoned him to meet and visit. Enough said!

Does this mean we could get a Best Of Joaquin Rodrigo too? Obviously he stood on the shoulders of Albeniz but I think the Concierto of Aranjuez is equal in cultural relevance as Iberia in Spain.
