Great job of reviewing all of those skis! Mercy! One of the things I really appreciate about your reviews is that you talk about the weight of those other reviewers totally omit. The weight of the skiis is just as important as the length and waist width. I believe the long term trend will be towards lighter skis. So thanks for the info.

Some years ago I visited a ski demo day at a nearby resort. The store organizing it transported the mostly piste oriented skis to the resort the day before. Then during the night snow started dumping. Upwards of two feet came down in around 12 hours. The store manager sent one of his employees back to the store to fetch more suitable skis 😆

During that day i tested skis between 95 and ~110 mm. All of them floated more or less fine in the super light fluff (Rossi Soul 7 HD was no 1). Not the then new Mantra M5 though. It plowed through the hip deep piles of powder that had formed during the day. I felt the untouched corduroy base in every turn, but the skis didn’t wobble or got deflected. Not once. It wasn’t very fun, but man was I impressed when I was going down the hill in lightning speed getting face shots. I’m guessing the M7 would behave about the same way in those conditions.

Agree with jeff 100% about Maverick 95. Soft spring snow day at Heavenly was amazing on this ski. Couldn't think of a better choice. Grips and rips. Great directional ski.
