A Christmas Carol is NOT Scary

I prefer the 1984 Christmas Carol movie, starred by George C. Scott as Scrooge. I can see why people don’t like the animations in this movie. However Charles Dickens, the original author of A Christmas Carol in the 1800s made the story scary on purpose because he himself used to be poor and lived in poverty, so he wrote the story to scare the wealthy people into giving to the poor.

I think a huge part of it being scary is the fhost of chrostmas future sending scrooge to literal hell, the coachman chasing down scrooge in the streets, christmas present rotting into a dusty husk while laughing maniacally, you know, just about every scene in the movie
