Forza Horizon 5 Review - The Final Verdict

Forza Horizon 5 cannot be praised enough. Without a doubt, it’s one of the best racing games ever made. If you’ve played its predecessors, that shouldn’t come as a surprise, but the sheer quality on display here is staggering, and made all the more impressive by the scope and varied nature of the experience.

Playground Games has been honing this open world racing formula for close to a decade at this point, making meaningful improvements with each iteration- and with Forza Horizon 5, once again, the series has touched new heights. As impossible it may seem in the moment that it will be surpassed, however, if history has taught us anything, it’s that this is a series that never stops improving.

When a new Forza Horizon game releases, it's one of the rare games that pulls me away from my Playstation as I annoy my brother into letting me play it on his Xbox. And Forza Horizon 5 will be no exception.

Now that this game has released on the PS5, I now know what all the fuss is about and why people love this game so much. This game is nothing short of AMAZING and a masterpiece in my opinion. Can't put this game down. It's SO MUCH fun.

I'm not into racing games at all but forza horizon is the exception. It just hits so different. Maybe it's the open world aspect? Maybe it's just my addiction to wheel spins lol. Either way I lose dozens of hours into their titles when I don't play any other racing games at all.

As a mostly PlayStation gamer and new PC player, I cannot wait to play this game on Xbox gamepass. I absolutely loved Forza Horizon 4 and if this is even better then that then I'm all in. Finally happy to see Microsoft get some quality and amazing games that can compete with Sony!!

I think the thing that gets me the most is how polished the game is at launch. I purchased the premium edition so I've been playing since Nov 5th and I can count the number of glitches I've encountered on one hand. I think we are seeing a developer at the top of their game.

I've put a lot of time into the game yesterday, and I honestly struggle to find fault. The odd minor bug, expected given how massive the game is. Absolute masterpiece of a video game.

I'm just amazed how good it looks on my 8 year old console, much respect to Playground for the effort put into some of us less fortunate to own a nxt gen machine.

I've been expecting convoy issues, like not being able to see my friend when we drive around his icon would disappear but still be in the convoy. Whenever I go to the main map to look at his icon his "icontag"/ current car would be D ranked and level 1 when he is level 30. Another bug I've been having is that whenever I'm scrolling thru some of the various menus the sound effects would cut out and go silent this includes upgrading my car especially when I'm trying to rev the car engine when trying out different upgrades. I've also been having driving issues as well. I'll be going high speed then BOOM out of nowhere my car instantly slows down and stops. I hope they fix these issues and the load times but other than that I'm loving the game!

I’ve got to say, as a primarily PlayStation player (I like the interface and exclusive titles personally). Xbox game pass absolutely kills it with new releases.
I don’t have a series x right now, but I swap between my ps5 and pc so I can enjoy all of the titles I’m interested in, and forza is no exception!
