I must say. These videos make me so happy im done with school. This shit is so depressing...being reduced down to numbers and required to dump everything in life but your grades and extracurriculars only to go at an "ivy league" which provides the same information any library card and access to the internet can give you

Is NYU really that competitive? It’s so expensive and has no financial aid.

I just want to get into a good uni and get an engineering degree. Getting this is really good for me, but seeing these videos reminds of how serious people are about education. These kids work really hard and it’s surprising. Honestly this system really numbers you down and it really does feel like a competition.

I tried to become a CNA but I'm in NJ where the minimum age is 18, and I won't turn 18 until I'm already in college. It was so frustrating but I did become an EMT (minimum age is 16) so at least I got 1/2.

So getting rid of affirmative action did not increase Asian students it only decreased black and brown students and increased legacy white students. I went to Hopkins and the white students used to gripe that there were too many Asians but in the affirmative action case an Asian guy went after black and brown admissions ( listened to his interview where he specifically referenced black students). There were a bunch of white legacy students and I can tell you that being their lab partner was the worst because they couldn’t do any of the work or calculations. I was happy when I got to my higher level chemistry courses as my major. I’m specifically speaking of white legacy students not the smart white students. Everybody who went to Hopkins wanted to do medicine and organic chemistry weeded most of them out so that after 1500 people who took the class for premed only 300 were left at the end who were premed. Physics took out a bunch too. Although there were people who were truly interested international relations was the fallback for those who couldn’t make the grades for premed. Being both a doctor and a patient it’s sad that the percent off black and brown people in college have been decreased when they were already underrepresented. One you’re in the field you really see that representation matters for patients and research

“Lots of clinical hours”. What a lazy description.

The only criteria that matters is what are his pronouns and his skin color/victim status?
