That’s how I felt when I got to Cornell! I was humbled so quickly by how intelligent and talented everyone was

I went to Yale Drama. Being around such ridiculously talented people all the time changes you for the better but it’s also a lot of pressure.

I love the fact that most of the people in the comments don't know who she is haha! That's the voice of Toph from ATLA :)

Facts about college. Usually too young to know what you need, so go after what you want, and discover in the process. Don’t need college either, but guidance and community when utilized are a huge boon.

The toughest part about Yale is getting in

The best part about getting into prestigious universities IS realizing that you ain't shit. It gives us the character development we, the overachievers, sorely needed to get through the rest of life. And the shiny diploma, of course, lol. Not everyone gets out of uni with that character development, tho.

Very important feeling to have. Always surround yourself with those who are better

DONT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS! Everyone has something they bring to the table, even if it's not appreciated in the same way. I think humans all have the capacity for wonderful things.

I have a friend in my program that went to Yale for undergrad. He’s naturally intelligent, and we’re physicists now in grad school at another Ivy. Grad school tho? I found undergrad harder than grad school, not cause of the material, cause dear GOD this shit is painful and no one can help you at this level, but it’s easier in terms of dealing with it. The discipline that these schools teach you, whether you’re a double Ivy like some of my colleagues, or like me who’s just now being trained by the most prestigious people, the support required to keep you SANE because of the difficulty is insane. Luckily, if you don’t wanna drown you need to collaborate, so whereas undergrad was constant competition, grad school is collaboration

I feel this. I wanted to be a surgeon but my mom was just like at this point you're gonna talk your patients out of getting the surgery. You're too motivational lol

That's how I felt about my first week at my community college. Still I managed to graduate with an Associate's degree.

It’s interesting because she can still metaphorically take people apart and put them back together with good screen writing. Taking the audience on an emotional rollercoaster.

Tremendous talent. I can relate to feeling intimidated or insecure. We all need to remember that we have our own unique gifts to share with the world!!! Comparison is the thief of JOY!❤

I know people who went to other Ivy leagues (Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Cornell, Columbia, brown) and they said it was easy AF (generally speaking). But those people really deserved to be there. The bottom 50% of Ivy leagues are just smart people whereas the next 25% are very smart and the top 25% are border line geniuses.

The toughest part about YALE is surviving New Haven lol

College in general is a greater eye-opener. Whatever you had going on at home, someone in college is more/better! 😂

This is how i felt during my undergrad..i studied computer science at university of Toronto, it may not be as impressive as Harvard, yale, Cambridge etc but it was one of the top Schools in Canada so getting into the major, and trying to keep up with one of the most intense programs at the school and trying to graduate was certainly stressful. Everyone of my classmates were very intelligent and very much talented as well. Graduating felt like a huge accomplishment in one of the most competitive schools and programs within the school. Except now that im 30 i still struggle to find my passion :( which im working on now.

Super glad to hear film found her and now shes happy with where she's at. I hope to be in that spot too one day.
