About IBS Treatment Center
===========================

Dr. Stephen Wangen, co-founder and Medical Director of the IBS Treatment Center, and his staff have successfully helped over 10,000 people resolve irritable bowel syndrome and chronic digestive problems since 2005.

Some patients have had IBS symptoms so severe that they spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital. Others are suffering alone at home and are no less frustrated with the impact that it is having on their lives. The thread that tied them all together was that they had never seen an IBS expert (much different than a gastroenterologist), a doctor whose only mission is to help people solve IBS.

Ibd is difficult to diagnose, you can have a clear colonoscopy but still having Ibd. I guess it depends if u do the colonoscopy at the right moment so it could take months or years before been diagnosed.

Ive had a colonoscopy and they found ulcers in my colon but Im having to wait for biopsy results before I can be put on medication for ulcerative colitus.

I had my bowel habits change from always constipated to more frequent, looser stool about a year ago. Around the same time I started to have fatigue which has worsened since that time.
Now I am getting feverish after eating, I feel shaky despite supplementing with iron, get pain in my colon area and generally feel feverish, unwell and fatigued.

Despite the other symptoms I only have one bowel movement a day. Im worried the biopsy wont show ulcerative colitus or that it is something else that wont be picked up.

I am in the UK and had to fight to get a colonoscopy, they have been pushing that it is just stress the whole time.

I'm 23. I got symptoms since 10s but I completely ignored. Other says IBS will not lead to cancer. But in my case, I didnt drink water and only had energy drink for the past 10+ years which raised my body temperature so high. I guess that's inflammation. I wonder if such long inflammation could lead to colon cancer? I want to get colonoscopy too to confirm but people always say im tooo young

In 2016 I had some symptoms that had me end up getting a colonoscopy at 30. Synptoms were intermittent, but I was diagnosed with IBS and Hemorrhoids, they removed 1 polyp, which came back non-cancerous.

Fas forward and ive had bleeding for the last 2-3 months, intermittent, but constant over several days, then nothing. I ended up in the ER with a small bowel obstruction. CT showed scaring of the ileum, similar to damage from prior surgery (I've never had bowel surgery). Bowel obstruction cleared with bowel rest, and was sent to see a gastroenterologist. Had an MRE performed, and shows similar scaring of the ileum, and gallstones. I also ended up with similar pain in the lower right quadrant, and spent 2 days in bed not eating waiting for it to clear 2 weeks after my ER visit. Also had a calprotectin test which came back at 457 ng/g.

Waiting to the gastro to see what the next process is, and to be honest, according to Google I have everything 😂. Definitely nervous, but always hoping for a positive diagnosis.

Can I ask why you say to visit a gastroenterologist instead of a colorectal specialist please thanks. I’m in 🇬🇧

colonoscopy is only 90% affective in diagnosing! Best way is symptoms requiring and cbc
