Very nice, although I would have like to heard some chords played in the cranked up mode.

the lowest 22 watts i heard.. That midscooped blackface with a midscooped jensen P12Q sound beautiful clean but to hollow in the mids for a distorted sound in my opinion..
I think Fender's choice to go with the C12K in the standard deluxe reverb is to give it more headroom (99dB sensitivity) and more mids.. but still with an american accent comapred to a celestion..
I had a cathode biased 30 watt el84 combo (with blackface type preamp)  once with a celestion G12H, , talk about a loud and fairly clean amp...

I have one of these. It's a great amp. You won't find cleans like this anywhere else. I did find it lacking a little when it comes to heavy distortion. It's great if you want to use it for low breakup, Little Wing style riffs. I run a two amp set up with a Vox AC4TV with a upgraded Greenback speaker that I keep cranked to get that natural tube distortion and I just A/B them for cleans and OD. I wouldn't trade my Deluxe Reverb for anything, though. Those cleans are tasty.

Could have been a great demo, of the crunch part hadn't been done playing some kind of metal sounding jug-jug rhythm. It would have helped me decide, if ol' Rick there had used something with a single coil bridge, or at least the single coil middle in the guitar he used with just a little touch of hair on it. Who buys a DR to play jug-jug on? lol. I vote for a new demo with a bit more forethought as to the likely audience for the product. and maybe a FCS tele in addition to a strat(not that my actually vote counts).

The reverb seems to be off for one thing. The room is also dry. An SM57 is a dull dry microphone if not boosted in the treble. The bass on the amp seems to be boosted. Hence the horrible dead non typical sound of the amp in this instance.

I'm wanting one of these for the 6V6 cleans, and mild breakup for rythm parts, paired with a Vox AC4HW1 for lead boost, some day. I've got a one off custom built reverse head stock strat waiting in my closet.
