It’s always the people who don’t have to worry about money that say it doesn’t buy happiness.

Am I the only one out there who finds fulfillment and purpose in my hobbies outside of work?!

I think we are going to see a huge drop in childbirth. The thing young people are sacrificing first is having children. Not having kids saves a ton more than giving up Netflix or Starbucks.

I’m confused. I’ve been told by almost all Ramsey personalities that inflation isn’t that bad and shouldn’t really be hurting people that badly.

Bro if you have a calling and the calling is not paying to bring your family up then that calling is the wrong calling. Paying too much student loan, houses are too expensive, cost of living skyrocketing and eating too much of your time nowadays, people are looking for more pay (in online stuff) so they have more time with their families, less time to work and more money baby.

If your in this position and have a crap load of student loans/debt, take the higher paying job and become debt free before chasing dream job!

so you want us to continue to live off less and sacrifice in order to stay in so called honorable positions? careers that abuse the employees then toss us to the side when they get the chance/dont provide adequate retirement/benefits compensation? Nope. I think we should all do the american thing a little longer and just worry about ourselves and families. Maybe then people will start to understand how selfish and broken our system is and make changes at the state level.

Money buys happiness, and I'm tired of pretending it doesn't. Most people's problems would be solved by being paid a fair wage.

My biggest struggle as a Christian is that debate Ken first brought up. It’s easy for my non-Christian friends and relatives to make that call. They just look for the highest paying jobs and pursue those. I don’t want to choose a job just because it is high paying. I’d like to make sure my family is in a good financial situation, but I don’t want to be led by money only. Money can really ruin people but it can also do a lot of good if in the right hands.

And when you look at the big picture. Most people in the world live off of less than $2 a day. So I think it is terrible people in America complain that certain salaries aren’t much pay. People just need to live simpler lives and not try to live like their neighbors or those on social media do.

We made a command decision today. Buy a 55" flat screen TV on black Friday because ours got struck by lightning three months ago or buy gas and food. We bought gas and food instead to make it till next Friday, payday. PRIORITIZE YOUR PRIORITIES. We feed our family before we entertain our family... Is there an overseas country that raises their taxes and cost of living so they can support America. We are considering living a broad- Philippines...

It's called the American Dream because you'd have to be asleep to believe it.

Providing for and raising a family IS a calling that sometimes requires having a job that you don't "love"! I know this generation has a dream to "do something meaningful", and that kind of thinking often leads them to go from job to job to find what is "perfect" for them. I am thankful that my husband works hard everyday in a job that isn't his favorite because it makes enough money in this down economy to pay the bills. Sometimes you just got to do what you got to do, and your kids learn about grit, responsibility and discipline by watching their parents live responsibly and not be lead by their emotions.

I’m not taking on extra responsibilities at work any more. Doing extra isn’t worth it. They use the non-compete against you

Make changes in your lifestyle??? I make pretty good money for only supporting one person, but I don't have much left over at the end of the month. I don't spend a lot of money on things I don't need. I haven't been on vacation since 2008, even though people telling me just to do it. And that is really annoying. At the rate things are going up, it won't be long before I need a 2nd job. I've been pushed to where I ask everyday, what is the point of life??? Go to work and pay bills???

Now is the tone more than ever to work independently starting businesses and side hustles over working for corporations…the way the country is headed…either get in now or miss the boat. We are headed more and more for a socialist society where the upper and lower classes are too divided and it may be too late when we reach that point
