Episode 1 - Belfast, Northern Ireland | Commercial Court | Irish Coffee | Duke of York|Visit Ireland
Показать описание
I nsidered a part of the United Kingdom so if you have a UK visa you do not need a separate visa for Belfast.
Coming to Belfast, it is a really small and interesting city where you can spend a day and you should be fine unless you plan to visit the countryside. I spent almost an entire day in the city.
The main attraction of the city is the Commercial Court area where you shall find the typical Irish graffiti walls and Irish pubs. We had our breakfast at one of the restaurants in the area called 'Grapevine'. It was a really cozy breakfast place where we had the cheese toasties with hot coffee. We really needed that because it was particularly really cold that morning and me and my friend had not slept in 48 hours. That made the regular doses of coffee mandatory to keep our eyes open in a new city and not get lost.
To keep the intake of caffeine in our system put, we decided to try the traditional Irish coffee at a cafe/pub/restaurant called the Duke of York. Not a great idea I would say but just a suggestion always try Baileys and not the traditional Irish coffee if you are not a fan of hard liquor. Also, Duke of York has got the best graffiti walls in entire Belfast. We went for the Irish coffee specially because of those pretty walls.
It is always better to be on foot to explore the new city you are travelling to get a better feel of the city. After this, we bought a few souvenirs and we still had half the day to kill. So we decided to visit the Winterfell Castle from Game of Thrones. YES, Game of Thrones which was just 60 kms from Belfast, the details of which will be in Episode 2 of the Ireland Series.
Till then, enjoy Episode 1 and let me know how you like it.
Hope you have a great day.
