Die Band aus Göteborg verbindet Bluesrock und Psychedelic mit Elementen, die von derselben tiefen Traurigkeit geprägt sind, die sich auch in Stoner Rock oder Doom finden lassen. Euphorie und Depression liegen im intensiven Sound von Graveyard dicht beieinander.
Wenn Graveyard-Sänger und Gitarrist Joakim Nilsson in seinem charakteristischen Blues-getränkten Stil zu singen beginnt, geht zunächst einmal die Sonne auf. Seine Band liefert dazu psychedelisch eingefärbten Bluesrock in Reinform.
Nilsson begann seine Karriere bei der Stoner-Rock-Band Norrsken, 2006 gründete er mit drei Kumpels in Göteborg Graveyard. Als Drummer Axel Sjöberg im September 2016 seinen Hut nimmt, löst sich die Band kurzzeitig auf. Doch schon im Januar findet sich mit Oskar Bergenheim ein neuer Schlagzeuger, und die Band startet mit neuer Energie durch.
Graveyard sind ein weiterer Beweis für die hohe Qualität von Musik aus der Rock-City Göteborg

I just saw them last month in Atlanta, GA and Joakim sounded fantastic. I am a singer, myself, and he sounds to me like he has a cold and hoarseness. There's nothing worse than trying to sing when you have a cold or any kind of congestion. Graveyard RAWKS!

Graveyard is my favorite modern band! I love these guys, I hope they come to Mexico so I can actually go see them live. They came to Houston last year, but the dates were no good for me, so I couldn't go, but I would have loved to be there!

Graveyard are rock legends for sure. His voice is like that of a rocklegend. Hisingen Blues one of the best rock albums ever.
But I think his voice doesn't really hold up all the time live. Usually the case for many artists. Hard to be on tour and have good voice every set with how harsh you live on the road and playing every night.
