Squarespace vs. Wix 2016 -- What You Need to Know

I talk a lot about Wordpress and Squarespace being the best two website builders, but I see a lot of beginners trying to decide between Wix and Squarespace. One of the first arguments the I see people making for Wix is that they have a free plan, and Squarespace does not have any free plans. The downside to Wix's free plan is that you can't have your own custom domain, and it's going to look a lot more professional if you have your own domain.

I hear that Wix cannot allow you to move from them to another platform like e.g Word press esp the about me page is it true as I want to decide which to choose between square space and Wix for my food blog

I’ve used both and actually prefer Wix, the design is more flexible and there is actually an option for you to view and edit the mobile version. Just my 2 cents :)

you're the first reviewer who explained the free domain "thing"  --(see, u know i'm a novice, lol).  It would be much better for me not to have... dot dot dot wix or dot dot dot squarespace. i'm lazy-- too long.  Heck I even get winded having to pronounce my full name! lol.  THANK YOU.  i'm going w squarespace
