How TF are these things even remotely legal to do in this industry regardless of a contract??? There should be some addendum in their contracts- unless in the event we don’t allow you to x, y or z for x amount of time to curb the shelving for ANY reason. They do it for cruel & unusual reasons all too often. This story is nuts, I’m so glad you told it.

She is so tenacious and resilient! I would probably fall apart if I went through what she did for all those years. Having her creativity stifled and being told what to do by people who don't even have a shred of her talent is awful. Let the artists be artists and trust the process.

Disaster really deserved to be her big comeback. It felt like the perfect lead and was so on brand for Jojo, and I have no doubt it would've been as big as her previous leads, had her label supported her and gave her a proper roll out and push.

So many of us followed her journey, owned her first 2 albums and felt robbed that we waited so long for a comeback. The reality that she was literally being held captive by a NON-FUNCTIONING label is beyond wicked. Those are the type of people who shouldn't be in positions of power to begin with. I'm so glad she finally got to create what she had waited decades to create, and we are definitely giving her the flowers she deserves 💐💐💐
