Please help with genshin impact“Game files download error.Check your network settings and try again”

Anybody who's suffering with the 1.6 patch just like me? 😭

UPDATE: I took me a while but it's now working. The network error solved on its own after a couple of days, and I downloaded the update. But then I got a verification error during the installation, it persisted a few days, but before losing hope and reinstalling it from zero I tried one last thing: I opened the gear icon on the launcher and clicked on the "repair" button, looks like there were in fact some damaged packages from the latest download. It repaired the data and I was able to launch the game! Hope this helps someone in a similar situation

Ok I found out some solution. If you preinstalled the update and that error appeared, just delete all the files installed. To know which files to delete just go ( Genshin Impact > Genshin Impact Game ) then delete the recently modified files (EXCEPT DRIVERERROR). Open the launcher and install the update again. *DISCLAIMER* This worked for me but it doesn't mean it will work for you. You can only do this procedure if you preinstalled the update.

I install and uninstall all the time and sometimes it installs up to 100%, then it verifies and again this error, then when I click on try again it returns to 25% I don't know what's going on :(

Mine always stopped at 28% when I was downloading it on my external hard drive. I just gave up and reinstalled it on my SSD. It might just be a problem with the external hard drive because the same thing happens with Honkai as well. I'm not sure how to fix it though, but that's all I've gathered.

My solution: just keep on clicking retry until it finishes downloading.

I'm honestly so desperate I dont know how to fix this. I've tried so many videos and I still failed to figure the problem out

Edit: so it finally worked what I did is reset my whole computer from scratch and downloaded it again but it it didnt work the 1st time THEN after 30 minutes I tried again to redownload it and that worked it was a long process its been weeks I havent been able to figure this out but now I did. Thank you to the comment section, Its what mostly helped me.

im kinda late but its a connection error (because of the wifi) but what i did was connect the wifi router cable to my computer and it worked, its probably because the connection is weak or something

Hi guys for everyone that’s asked have I found a solution and I did. It reseted my entire computer and erase everything on it and started from scratch. Then I tried to download it again on my computer and it work.

did a manual download to install the game when i had this problem tho annoying to do it for every major patch

i tried deleting the temp file, using cloudflare, and reinstalling it nothing is working :/
