How to Install VirtualBox on Manjaro Linux | Installing VirtualBox on Arch Linux | Oracle VM | VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Installing VirtualBox on Manjaro Linux or any Arch Based Linux Distro is easy & Simple & does requires Intermediate Linux Skills. For Installing VirtualBox on Manjaro you must have
1. Git
2. Base-devel

Just Install Git with [ sudo pacman -S git ] & [ sudo pacman -S base-devel ] if you do not have these packages Installed on your Manjaro Linux. Done Installing these ? Use the makepkg -si command to Start Compiling & Building VirtualBox Package for your Manjaro Linux. This may take a while to Download Multiple files. So have patience. Once the required files are downloaded the VirtualBox Installation will be done automatically. You might need to allow the Installation with a Yes.

You may start Oracle VirtualBox from the Applications Menu.

In the base-devel step you did not show which selection you chose. It says (default=all). but there is no number to select all. Also, I just did a return and it came back an ask me which number. Apparently, It works different then when you did this video. Now I'm not sure how to proceed. How about an update to this video.

i can´t start any virtual machine
error: The vboxdrv kernel module is not loaded. Either there is no module
available for the current kernel (6.1.1-1-MANJARO) or it failed to

thx for the vid . i have this when i try the command makepakg -si :==> ERROR: You do not have write permission for the directory $BUILDDIR (/home/USER/virtualbox-bin).
Aborting..
and when i do sudo su i have this : ==> ERROR: Running makepkg as root is not allowed as it can cause permanent,

catastrophic damage to your system.
I'm on Manjaro linux....
Could you help me please ?
