“The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.”

Joel, did someone hurt your feelings? Did a girl laugh at you on the playground when you were a little boy? Do you ever walk into your own home to find your family all laughing together, but then they stop when you enter the room? Do you ask them, "what's so funny, ” only to have them reply, "oh nothing”? Do you sometimes worry they are laughing at you? Because, they are Joel. They are definitely laughing at you.

This one sounds like a character out of The Handmaid's Tale

*_"Ask your husband's at home."_* was not about education, it was about keeping women silent in public. Do not question anyone about anything until they got home. This man is hilarious.

1:30 - 1:50 describes exactly how one must be uneducated, uninformed and echo chambered to be able to successfully recite the rhetoric he expresses. I love how being uneducated is a Virtue with these people.

He doesn't do any of the work, takes all the acclaim and benefits, and calls himself master.

To be a married Christian man is the easiest gig I have ever witnessed. Somehow though, it turns them into actual monsters again and again. Any insight please comment.

What an encouraging message!! We need husbands and fathers at the head of the home, today more than ever! Against popular “wisdom”, we need wives submitting to husbands, as we need husbands loving their wives as Christ loved the church. If we had a little more of these, we’d have happier, healthier homes!
May God bless!

It’s true woman needs to come into agreement with their husbands at home, not be voicing division with there spouse in the church, or elsewhere, and not letting the Nicolaitan doctrine (TheClergy rulership) as Eli’s sons did, which comes out of Balaams Paganistic slavery and ownership of women from Babel era to Pagan Rome/Christianity that perverted the image of God.with false hoods

This guy is a leader for the impotent. I am a woman with an IQ of 148 and a Ph.D. I guarantee you that I'm fully capable of finding out an answer for myself, or my husband of 40 years and I work together to find an answer. Those who think that God wrote the Bible truly need to spend time educating themselves on how, why, and by whom the Bible was written. These types of 'ministers' cherry pick passages that suit their own agenda. Yes, we absolutely believe in God and Jesus, but people like this guy are what drove us and countless others away from organized religion. SMH.

Thank you. The modern day feminist fights the scriptures.... They make excuses why NOT to be obedient to the Word of God.

Ew. Sounds like backwards early 1900's thinking to me.

Sadly, I'm the resident theologian in my marriage.

Main point: asking husband isn’t based on the assumption that he knows better, it’s still God’s order and blessing comes through obedience

If a woman has a Bible question, why can't she search the Scriptures herself to find the answer? Is a woman not allowed to dig deeply into Scripture to build her knowledge of God, and thus deepen her relationship with Him? Does her relationship with God depend solely on her husband? All believers are to search the Bible for wisdom, understanding, and a deepened faith. Yes, men are the God ordained head of the marriage and family, but that doesn't eliminate the wife's privilege and responsibility for their own biblical knowledge. This teaching twists Paul's words to the Corinthian church totally out of context of what was occurring during the church service, and is a cruel stifling of the spiritual growth of women.

When Paul wrote Wives ask your husbands at home, the New Testament wasn’t even written yet, it was being written and circulated. Wives now have a full completed Bible and the Holy Spirit which we can read and study for ourselves. It’s wonderful talking to our husbands about the Bible, but we can and should search the Scriptures fit ourselves! God Bless your eternal life in Christ!

I asked my wife as we were cleaning the house, not to play Cardi B. She then turns on Steve Harvey. I guess now he is a self-determined pastor, what he was saying was blasphemous. All about gain and success in this life. And much more revealing things about his understanding of God's Word. I mentioned that in another way, and my wife kept on a listening. I'd prefer Cardi B to a false gospel :(.
