Why does the guy with the hat not research before he speaks? It's aggrivating to see a technical professional come out here, act loud and not know his technicals. I don't like pressing "do not recommend channel", but this guy deserves it. SSL, Neve, Tascam and RME are the only interfaces that operate at a pro headroom +24/+26 db.

Had the Mk1, changed it for an Audient iD14 Mk2. Never looked back

These guys have no idea what they’re talking about. They have no reasons or data to back any of these pointless claims

I love my SSL2. Just 2, not 2+ 😎. Great upgrade from the Presonus Audiobox I had for so long!

I use the SSL Mark two with a 500 series vocal chain bypassing the SSL two preamp’s and it has two separate headphone mixes. Love the SSL.

I love my ssl2+, I tried Audient, but didn’t like the Headphone output, and in one incident it nearly broke my monitors. The workflow with the ssl is great, easy to use knobs, no software, and two headphone outputs. Overall a great sound on a budget 😊

That 4k button is FIRE DEVVON! lol. I sold it for an antelope audio interface but that SSL had a great factor to it and I still miss it fr. (It's better than the air button on a focusrite or something for sure)

It’s funny to see devvon watch his words so closely now ever since they tried to say he be switching up his opinions every other week.. lol I feel him thou.. listen closely

I have it and it's great but I hate interfaces where the buttons all face up and I found that out with this interface (i previously had a steinberg MK2) A LOT of dust can get into the crevices of the buttons and knobs and cause issues. I keep a bag over it now for that reason but it's not really comfortable or aesthetically pleasing. Maybe there's more sofisticated ways to get around this issue tho.

The SSL 2+ is cool but I replaced it with the Audient ID24 which sounds better to me

You guys ever mention Audient's iD series?

I have it. The 4k button I feel loses the body of the vocal. Not a fan of the guitar input either… has a high noise floor

Ssl2+ has some of the cleanest signal path EVER. You can feed out and in the audio into itself like 100 times before you get any degradation in sound. And the 2 headphones outs is awesome. The 2+ is great. The sound quality of all modern budget interfaces is essentially flawless, especially when compared to what artists and engineers made our favorite records with decades ago.

I have a small tascam audio, 2 ins and outs and have been using it since I started producing in 2018. Never had any issues But now I’m ready to upgrade but honestly don’t know much about interfaces. My budget is $1, 000 or under. I would like more than 2 ins and out, I potentially will be recording live drums, not sure yet though. Any suggestions peoples?
