I got one of these about a month ago, and it has been a game changer for me. The way the e-ink looks...it really seems like it's sitting on top of the glass. Combine that with ease of use and access to thousands of apps and it takes the device to another level.

Kit, I would love your recommendation. I am an attorney working mostly from home. Right now my handwritten notes need to be scanned, copied and then emailed to my remote server so I can save in a particular case file. I would like a tablet that has pages that look like a lined letter sized legal pad so I can make my notes and send from the tablet to my server. Would also like one where I can send pdf forms that I can fill out and then send to my server. Thank you so much.

Thanks for your videos, they are very informative. I have been waiting for the A5x2, but I am considering the Go 10.3 instead. However, could you please share and or compare customer service and warranty related issues with Boox devices vs supernote? Thanks

I'm in the process of replacing two Boox 7.8" tablets with a Supernote A6X2. I was waiting for the A5X2 to replace my Boox Note Air2 plus, but the Boox Go 10.3 caught my eye. I've only had it a few days, but this thing is much more than I expected. The Note Air2 Plus is heavier, and the writing surface is not as good. To mitigate that, I purchased a cover that had a pretty hefty tray and different easel-like positions to make writing less of a chore. The Go 10.3 is changing all that.

With the stock cover, it is still lighter and more comfortable to hold. Throw in a nicer writing surface and things are just better. Recalling another video where you lamented about bad case options, I recalled I had a spare after-market fabric sleeve (NIDOO for 10 inch laptops/tablets). It has an end-zipper, so the fabric and leather handle doesn't interfere with getting the tablet in and out, and has a full-width flat zippered pocket on the front. The Go 10.3 in the stock cover slides in nicely. I mostly using the Boox triangular pen (with eraser) -- no magnet, so I don't know what Onyx was thinking (or not thinking) when they decided not to put a pocket clip on it. As for distractions, I can manage that myself easily enough. I have more app icons stashed in an auxiliary folder than I have on the main Apps screen.

I'm liking the Go 10.3 more than I expected. It certainly snuffs the wait anxiety for the A5X2, and who knows what I'll decide then.

It’s not my first e ink, but my first was a paper white.
And so far I’m loving it, I use it everyday at work, and we’re adding stuff to our new home so I use it there too. List of dimensions, furniture shops I’ve talked too etc

Great highlight video Kit. It seems like a solid device. I'm not sure if you saw but Supernote has updated the status to early September for the A5X2. It will be interesting to see that comparison.

Boox has been a mixed bag of things: it has a good hardware and a fresh look of things but on the other side, the software leaves much to be desired.

Examples from my Boox Tab Ultra:
- firmware updates come very rarely and with older security fixes
- firmware updates come with some fixes but mainly focused for the Chinese features
- very weak Wi-Fi and unstable driver: I have to turn off and on rather frequently
- if I have the screen on landscape and the device goes on standby, I lose the auto rotation after waking up. I have to manually rotate the screen. That is known for ages and hasn’t been fixed also for ages. I commented that and no one cares.
- the UI is very strange and moving/adding icons is completely different from a normal Android
- It also doesn’t come with a camera app for photos or video or even to shoot to jpg, and most camera apps don’t work properly which may be an issue from Boox’s driver.
- I have the case with the keyboard from them and often it doesn’t detect the keyboard. I have to unplug and plug it again
- the USB is at the bottom left with barely any space to plug the cord while being used with a case or keyboard. If I try to plug a USB C pen in it’s even worse…
- the pen works great but just in the default software, other than that it’s too slow.

All in all, it’s a very good device but I expected better -specially software support- for the very high price. Boox releases too many devices and doesn’t spend too much time and money on the software, but the software is as important as the hardware.

I am very unsure about the Kobo Elipsa or Boox Note Air, do yuo have a quick suggestion? Thanks

On my Boox Lumi, it can switch the Chinese fonts on ebooks between Simplify Chinese and Traditional Chinese that not on my Kobo. It can read the books as well.
This is also the reasons I choose Boox.

Only recently got the Meebook P78 as my first ereader…but the boox is now all too tempting for comics and PDFs 🤔 anyone else here using two different form factor ereaders or would it be overkill?

I love mine. Only complaint is the pen. Wish they had an equivalent to the Heart of Metal 2 pen from Supernote. The provided pen just feels cheap and flimsy. It actually was shipped with the housing cracked or happened in the first day of use. Contacted them and they are sending a new one. Also inquired about the Black Metal Stylus that was shipped to a few YouTubers for review from Boox and they told me they have no plans to produce that pen for sale.

Please stop burning in text. I know it might not matter to most people but I find it incredibly distracting and it makes me stop watching your videos. I made it 31 seconds into this one.
