Excellent footage and music from the area i stayed in May for the 77th Anniversary of the German invasion of Crete - my father was a runner for the 22nd NZ Battalion near the Tavronitis bridge and Maleme airfield which the Germans took after appalling losses. It was very worthwhile travelling to this beautiful part of Crete meeting veterans from both sides and reflecting on that bitter conflict all those years ago.I would like to return one day to enyoy more the great local food and culture in the company of the friendly helpful locals - thanks for posting!
