I hate to, but I agree. Freedom of (political) speech is an important Constitutional right. As a Jew, I abhor people flying it, but it is their right. Same with the Confederate flag. That doesn't mean Americans should erect statues of Hitler, name a battleship after Mussolini, or a military base after Rommel.

Apparently a confederate flag is a free speech issue, but a football player's postural position during the national athem isn't. Seems certain people's free speech counts more than others. That's not how it's supposed to work.

I fly the third (official) Confederate States of America National Flag along with other flags. Why? Because I CAN. I tolerate all speech. BOTH popular and unpopular. I am not here to argue. I simply would like to continue to enjoy the freedom that our country has fought for. Is that too much to ask?
