God chose me and I'm at the stage where my kids have gone from wanting to please me to now being 3 and 4 yrs old testing how far they can get not following rules and it's hard right now but I know that this quote Ms. Lauryn Hill sang is true! God chose me and I am proud to make it this far in motherhood. My early years were filled with instability and being babysat by everyone except my mom and as an adult I have abandonment and anxiety from my early childhood experiences. But I'm glad my children can remember their mommy was there in their early stages and will be there throughout their lives as they get older ❤

Ive always been a fan of this song. As a guy I appreciate Lauren Hills music even if it isnt something Id listen to often. The melody and content of the song is awesome. I aslo cant believe it took so long for someone to sample Ex Factor. She gets a bunch of hate and maybe rightfully so but her music for the most part is great.

what a gem of a song... i remember buyin the album, and this song was just hiding on it... and BOOM. amazing. so positive, esp if you put into perspective what was going on in rap/hiphop round then.  listening to mobb deep, wu, etc.  and it was great, but then you get something posi like this in the mix and it just made life bearable
