This is great news, Minelab has made all upgrades owners have been asking for, I'll be buying one. I own the Vanquish 540 and I been waiting/hoping Minelab would improve the Equinox and now they finally did, I applaud.

Minelab: So let us take the problems with the 600/800 and solve them and then charge you for a new machine instead of fixing your "older" one! By the way thanks for finding out all the problems for us and for the free testing you did for us!

Why not just take care of the customers that already bought the 800 and provide updates to give wider target ID range. There has been a few updates but they really did nothing for the user.

And, the CTX was “updateable”. The only software update was just a patch to fix the problem with saltwater, that’s it

That’s crazy seems like greed is kicking in 🤬… give the 800 updates !!! I mean we all ready had to upgrade the cheap arm cuff and coil upgrade and shaft upgrade as well

It will get one or two updates like the original equinox, and get for forgotten about... I'll stick with my XP deus 2 at least they support a product for 10 years Plus

Seems to me that Nokta has put a bit of hurt on Minelab sales so it’s time to sprint a bit faster.

Look, we had a good detector but then the legend came.
So what to do? Add some of the legends features to the equinox.
And to top it off we will bump up the numbers. Why not call them the 600+ and 800+?
Or equinox 1000 and 1200

After I have had 3 pods leak at a max depth of 2 ft submersion, I am absolutely going to be looking at other brands. Mnelabs quality/craftsmanship has went way down. I can understand a fluke here and there but it is so bad that I have developed a massive reluctance to go in the water with the machine. I will look at xp and nokta first. I will sacrifice a little bit of technology for better quality.
