Hi, I am very happy to have found your channel😊 I have recently been diagnosed with a 13mm Spigelian hernia at last, after 3 years of excruciating pain which began during a Bowel Transit Study. I have recently had 3 ultrasounds of the LLQ with the most recent one concentrating on the pelvic area. I do have very long term major colon problems - a very long elongated colon and a sigmoid with large open mouthed diverticular and smaller ones which have always been minimised by my first & second opinion colorectal surgeons. Both reports under the two surgeons state that fat only herniates into the spigelian hernia but I know from having been walked through the images of 3 ultrasounds by the radiologists who performed the U/S that it is bowel herniating - that fat does not have air in it!
I am prescribed liquid morphine to control the pain - when pain is at its worst it takes between 25-38 ml to ease the pain which is at its worst after having a very difficult bowel motion. I have lost all faith and trust in the colorectal surgeons and the gastroenterologist whom denies he blasted apart during a colonoscopy a large area of folded over and stacked colon in my splenic flexure area where I was always confident the obstruction was. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw on the big screen when the obstruction was blasted apart - squares of black & red segments were flying apart - I could feel their crusty edges hitting the sides of my colon! I had to pay this man $2, 700 for his lies.

After 13 years under colorectal I am now pleased to be under a wonderful woman gynaecologist who referred me for the third U/S . The report from this U/S finally validates that bowel does indeed herniate through the spigelian but the report states both bowel & fat herniate. My 2nd opinion surgeon had finally granted me a CTScan of my colon with contrast, but although many organs were filmed and reported on - the colon was not!
You wouldn't care to review my scans, would you? Its all very interesting.
I have copies of all but the latest U/S on usb sticks.

I got this on my lumbar spine MRI a few years ago. And have increased symptoms. Including full body twitching and high immunoglobin with myoclonal bands in my spine etc starting this year.. neurologist say they can't diagnose anything .I have hyperintensities in my brain but they are non specific. I was told there was no issues on my MRI of lumbar spine a few years back. But did read this. I'm going to do another MRI soon.

3. Indeterminate T1 hypointense/T2 hyperintense lesion in the left peritoneum.

What could that mean?
