My 4 year old border Collie is limping on her right front leg. My vet strongly objected to the aspirin i had been giving her and prescribed 10 days gabapentin for $24. She's the worst. She took her in the back and traumatized her by separating us, brought her out to the waiting room for me to put a muzzle on her while she finished talking to me there. My sweet girl is not vicious but was frightened by their careless handling. She didn't finish the exam. Then the doctor told me to email her a video of her limping and return in a week to have her sedated and X-rayed. She didn't even check her paws and nails. Cost $102. She has ignored my request for upfront pricing to return for X-rays.

Thank you Dr. Jones. Murphy is almost five and is favoring, not limping his front leg. It may be overworked with the warmer weather and longer walks, yard jumping for the ball too. I will try the aspirin and cut back activity for a week. Is a week too long for the aspirin?

Awesome tips, Dr Jones! I’ve been giving my 90 lb GSD curcumin with bioperine for increased absorption. Not sure if it’s helping his inflammation because I also give him ginger powder, boswellia, CBD for dogs, and omega 3 for his partial ACL tear.I’m going to try your manual pressure technique.😊
