In this video, we discuss important safety tips for protecting your eyes during a solar eclipse. It is crucial to take the necessary precautions to avoid eye damage when viewing this rare phenomenon. One of the most important things to remember is to never look directly at the sun during a solar eclipse without proper eye protection. The intense light and radiation emitted during an eclipse can cause permanent damage to your eyes, including blindness. To safely view a solar eclipse, make sure to wear certified solar viewing glasses that meet the ISO 12312-2 international safety standards. These glasses will protect your eyes from harmful rays and allow you to enjoy the eclipse without risking your vision. Additionally, you can use a pinhole projector or a solar filter on a telescope or camera to indirectly view the eclipse. This method will also prevent eye damage and give you a clear view of the solar eclipse. During a Total Solar Eclipse, there is a moment of Totality where the moon completely blocks out the sun, this is the only time where someone may briefly viewed the eclipse without risk of eye damage to the naked eye, but as soon as the sun re-appears, then solar eye protection is again required. Remember, your eyes are precious, so don't take any chances when it comes to solar eclipse eye safety. For more information on how to safely view solar eclipses and protect your eyes, check out our video and stay informed.

I was lucky enough to live in the path of the 2017 eclipse. I was able to experience the total solar eclipse, and was one of the best experiences of my life. Highly recommended!

*DISCLAMER DO NOT DO THIS I COULD'VE BLINDED MYSELF!* last time there was an eclipse in 2017 I stupidly had a quick peek at it for a second. I could actually see the sun in a crescent shape with the black moon covering over 3 quarters of it. I thought it was so beautiful. Then the pain set in and i quickly looked away. *Again don't do this it will hurt and can cause lasting or permanent damage!*

Moon: *Blocks sun*

Very clear, helpful presentation. I already have eye issues, so will watch online. For those able to view the real thing, i pray you'll be wise and safe and follow the EyeDoc's instructions and protect your vision-- it is a blessing-- don't mess it up! 😎👍

I can’t stand how excited I am for this eclipse! My family had such a blast during the one in 2017. We’re taking a road trip to a town where we will have over 4 minutes of totality! If you can get to the path of totality, it really is one of the most amazing experiences you can ever have.

I have looked at several of them with out glasses. Never had a issue. But again not everyone is made the same. But I don't think I would chance it now that I am an adult lol. Old people are brittle man!

I didn't have solar shields during the last eclipse so I watched it through sunglasses on the hood of a shiny black car. It was still a little bright but not bad.

Our town will have 29 seconds of Totality. We live in Vermont and we are expecting an influx of people. Thank you for your information. I will link your video on Facebook so my friends can learn what to do and what not to do.

I’m so thankful to God I found your channel! You have enlightened me tremendously with your knowledge, tips, and suggestions on retail purchases for eye care. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am grateful for your care, and passion for people’s eye 👁️ care. It is refreshing to see. A lot of doctors 🥼 now a day treat people as numbers. I sincerely don’t get that from you. I wish you were located here in Dallas Texas, as you would have my business for life! It’s extremely hard to find a caring eye doctor here. I pray you keep your passion for people, continue to grow in your practice, and may your patience know just what a 💎 JEWEL they have in you. ☺️🙏🏽
Shalom!

I looked at it directly, many times. Even briefly before the totality. I'm fine. It was WAY worth it. 😂 the only thing that hurts is realizing i may not ever see another one again in my lifetime.
