dont guess, try (mode) then press 3(table), type in equation given (alpha x^3 etc) then press equal (=), then g(x)= pops up, ignore it and press equal (=) again, type -5, equal (=) again then type 5, then “step?” pops up, ignore and press equal (=), whichever number has a zero on the rhs is the number you choose, sometimes there are multiple, ig choose the one closest to 0. this is just a suggestion, it helps for me and saves me more time
