Thank you for your question. You can absolutely use beef bacon instead of regular - beef bacon is leaner and you might need to add a bit of vegetable or olive oil to compensate. You could use beef broth instead of wine as well. Happy cooking!

I think I might deglaze with the white wine, and add half water/beer at the end. I might add some peas, too. Also rosemary goes well with lamb I might use that instead of thyme. Yum.

Is it possible to replace bacon with beef bacon and leave out the wine? I'm thinking of making this halal/kosher.
