Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro Review | Fitness Tracking Done Cheap

Reviewing the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, a fresh 2024 fitness tracker that's like a smartwatch lite with its mighty AMOLED screen. I've been testing the Xiaomi Band 8 Pro for over a week now, including the exercise options, heart rate monitoring etc.

For a price of just under 60 quid right now, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is pretty good value. My main complaint is that I can't get an accurate reading at times with the heart rate monitor. But this fitness tracker can be used with well over 100 different sports and includes warm up animations for the likes of running.

The watch face selection is decent, if not as expansive as WearOS - and you can't customise as deeply. But the multi-widget setup is excellent and battery life on the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is among the best of any tracker in 2024.

Looks like you had the strap the wrong way round. Swap them over and it will be really easy to put on.

Mine detect driving as cycling. And auto-detect isn't that great because when I stop exercising and forget to stop, it doesn't stop by itself unlike my Huawei Band and Galaxy Watch
