Romancing the Storm.. I mean Gale! I put this together for launch for those who want to romance Gale without any issues. I'm hoping they fixed a lot of his scene overlaps with other characters, but in case they don't, I've got you covered with a complete guide to win his heart! I will update with a new video and any changes after the game releases.

Thank you for this! I'm disappointed to hear it's still difficult... I last tried this in one of the earlier patches and you had to scour through posts on reddit to figure out how to trigger the weave scene. I'll definitely bookmark this video for the game launch just in case they don't change for the better. :)

Great video, when I first romanced Gale I had to start again multiple times because I messed something up. It was really annoying and resulted in killing him a few times, I was really frustrated. I hope they will patch this "path" you have to take to trigger the scenes but at least we have a guide here.

Thank you for this. I was trying so hard to get that darn weave scene. I ended up restarting and following this video. Although I didn't get the deer dish scene, I did get the weave scene. Thank you ❤

I didn't really find gaining Gale's approval hard, except the weave scene didn't trigger in my first playthrough. And on the second one I had to take multiple partial rests because Astarion kept trying to talk to me instead of him. But after a bit it finally showed up.

Romancing Gale is so hard ;-; I was able to have the first weave scene, kept giving him artifacts, then him opening up more of his condition and letting me see through, have an EXCEPTIONAL APPROVAL and the party scene still didn’t work! 😭😭 What did I do wrong?

So I’m at Edwin’s body and I can’t seem to activate that one scene around 8:23. I’ve told them to go and I also used the Illithid wisdom on it but if I used wisdom and force my mind shut/ use strength, the tadpole scurries off

It's so nice having all these tips! The only problem is trying to choose who to woo. That's always the hardest part for me. Definitely looking forward to the stream!

Thank you for the video! I really hope that Larian changes the need to rest so often to get the Weave scene. It’s like even if you get high approval, if you don’t do things in a certain way, such as what you show in your video, you can’t romance Gale. It’s like when I mess up, Gale complains that I’ve chosen someone else for the night, & so you go back to Gale & ask, & then Gale friend-zones me. Larian has rewritten Wyll. I wonder if he’s easier to romance when the game comes out? 😂

I'm a bit torn on the accessibility of romances. On one hand, you can have basically 0 boundaries for complete wish fulfillment. On the other hand, it makes it more realistic when they actually have ethical boundaries and things they look for in a partner.

So I'm really stuck. I've had exceptional approval with Gail since I took on the hag, well before storming the goblin can. I have The weave scene happen and passed all the checks and everything. But after that, nothing happens. He just tells me at the night of the party that he's worried his orb will explode if he gets too excited. I'm not sure what I miss, is there another required conversation that happens after the weave scene?

I find out very interesting way to get Laezale approval. Near gith you can see tefling woman, if u change your look on gith (using spell if you have it), on conversation with her u can say u are not gith (just pretend), than she ask if u not planing attack her u answer "U safe" and Laezale approved this.

Astarion and Gale are not my cup of tea for romances in games, or males in general, but I must admit it's nice to watch this BG3 content from you. Looks like some one might be looking forward to the game launch day quite eagerly? :D

The only thing I want, is a romance with Gale, but I didn´t get that :(. I got the weave scene at the party in act one and by beginning of act two, Gale told me, he wants me even in this cursed place. And than - nothing. For the whole of Act 2. Everytime I was in Camp, I talked to him, but nothing. And than, by beginning of Act 3, I had the dialog option: "There was something between us, but now it is gone and it´s to late". And I was like ?!?!? WHAT ?!?!? NO! Has anybody a solution? It this a bug? Do I need to start over or load a save? Help

I've had high approval and still wasn't able to romance him. I am trying again and making sure I do more long rests

I did not get the deer stew scene, but I did get the Weave scene. I also know of his condition and gave him two artifacts thus far. I haven't found the tome or the Dark Amethyst yet. I'm currently at the Goblin Camp, rescued the Owlbear cub, rescued (but not yet recruited) Halsin, and got two of the three leaders there killed (the Goblin priestess and the Drow). I'm pretty sure my approval with Gale is pretty high, and I'm hoping to get the romance pretty much solidified.

Funny part is that I'm playing a Halfling Life Cleric/Lore Bard.

Okayyyy so I know this is an older video, but I've just got the game and I'm trying SOO hard to romance Gale. I have him at exceptional for the relationship status, fed him three magic items, did the weave scene, the 'clone/mirror' scene, the 'go to hell' scene and talked to him at the Teifling party, but I haven't gotten the star gazing scene at all and I'm now in the underdark, just kind of waiting for something to happen. I never even got Wyll's dance scene so it wasn't an issue with him...I'm so confused and at a pretty high level (well...its 6) and I really don't want to restart if I don't have to. A lot of people keep saying nothing else happens until act 2 but I've heard other people get the star gazing scene with him???? I am so lost lmao

fun fact i discovered yesterday! If he dies from combat and you revive him from following his protocol, that is another of the "good deeds" he mentions that made him trust you! :)

If he dies from outside forces and you revive him his way it's so sweet the way he reacts! I definitely like it way more than just immediately killing him, even if that is also super hilarious

im not sure what im doing wrong someone help! i had the weve scene and did it successfully, and gave him his magic items and his approval is exceptional but he never has any dialogue triggers! just if i wanna send him back to camp or not 😭
