The Black Dilemma - FROM THE BALTIMORE SUN
 
This would be considered a racist newspaper article by the politically correct Liberals in the USA.
 
Ian Duncan, a transplanted Brit, is a "middle of the road” reporter in political philosophy.
 
He witnessed the chaos in his city of Baltimore and has tried to understand it.
 
What he is trying to rationalize is why, after 150 years, hundreds of national level programs, and six trillion dollars spent, have only a very few (he refers to DuBois 10% but it is closer to 4%) Afro-Americans have made it into the mainstream.
 
How does the government rationalize the absolutely incredible success of immigrants and immigrant children from Asia, India and Latin America with virtually no benefits, almost immediately pulling themselves up into the middle and far upper classes when an estimated 80% of the Afro Americans are unable to lift themselves out of abject poverty and welfare generation after eight generations of freedom and assistance?
 
I don't agree with everything Duncan writes, but he does raise a continuing fundamental problem of how a huge majority of Afro Americans are ever going to be productive members of society.
 
"The Baltimore Sun”  is definitely not known as a Conservative newspaper.
 
This very well written assessment of the situation in USA, by a non-American, comes as something of a surprise ... along with some objective observations about other races and ethnic groups that have come to the USA and very quickly and successfully integrated into and flourished in our society.
 
This article will obviously be called racist, and will upset the liberals, but they should really think about the message and this deeply rational point of view.
 
The Black Dilemma
 
"For almost 150 years the United States has been conducting an interesting experiment.  The subjects of the experiment: black people and working-class whites.
 
The hypothesis to be tested: Can a people taken from the jungles of Africa 200-400 years ago and put into slavery be fully integrated as citizens in a majority non-black population?
 
The non-blacks, many of them also former slaves, were descendants of Europeans, Asians and South Americans who had created majestic civilizations and circumvented the globe.
 
The former black slaves had been tribal peoples with no written language, no cities or roads, and virtually no intellectual achievements.
 
Acting on a policy that was not fair to either group, the government released newly freed black people into a white society that, from coast to coast and border to border, saw them as inferiors.
 
America has struggled with racial discord ever since.
 
Decade after decade the problems persisted and worsened but the Liberal experimenters never gave up.  They insisted that if they could just find the right formula the experiment would work, and concocted program after program to get the result they wanted.
 
Asians, Hispanics and countless ethnic groups did not get such attention, money or programs yet they quickly assimilated and prospered.
 
For blacks the government created the Freedman’s Bureau, passed countless civil rights laws, tried to build the Great Society, declared War on Poverty, ordered and forced race preferences, built housing areas, and tried midnight basketball.
 
Their new laws intruded into non-black people’s lives in ways that would have been otherwise unthinkable.
 
They called in National Guard troops to force black school integration.
 
They outlawed freedom of association.
 
Over the protests of terrified parents, they put white and Asian children on buses and sent them to black schools and vice-versa.
 
They tried with money, special programs, relaxed standards specific only to blacks, and endless hand wringing to close the achievement gap between black people and every other group in America.
 
To keep white backlash in check they began punishing public and even private statements on the black race.
 
They hung up Orwellian public banners that commanded whites to Celebrate Diversity!  Say No to Racism!  Nothing was off limits if it might salvage the experiment.
 
Some thought that what W.E.B. DuBois called the Talented Tenth would lead the way for black people.  A group of elite, educated blacks would knock on doors of opportunity and show the world what blacks were capable of.
 
There is a Talented Tenth.  They are the black Americans who have become entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors and scientists.
 
But ten percent is not enough.
 
For the experiment to work, the ten percent has to be followed by a critical mass of people who can hold middle-class jobs and promote social stability.
 
That is what is still missing, after 150 years.
 
Through the years, the massive majority of black people continue to show an inability to function and prosper in a culture unsuited to them.
 
Detroit is bankrupt, the south side of Chicago is a war zone, and every black city, or city section, in America is beset by degeneracy and violence.
 
And blacks never take responsibility for their own failures.  Instead, they lash out at non-blacks in anger and resentment.
 
Across the generations and across the country, as we have seen in Detroit, Watts, Newark, Los Angeles, Cincinnati and Ferguson, widespread arson, rioting and looting are just one black incident away.
 
The white Liberal elite would tell us that this doesn't mean the experiment has failed.  We just have to try harder.  We need even more money, even more time, much more understanding, many more programs, and more opportunities and advantages.
 
But nothing has ever changed no matter how much money is spent, no matter how many laws are passed, no matter how many advantages are offered, no matter how many black leaders and geniuses are portrayed on TV shows and commercials, and no matter who is president or how many other blacks he appoints to lofty positions.
 
Some argue it’s a problem of culture, as if culture somehow creates people’s behavior instead of the other way around.
 
Others blame white privilege, although, per capita, Asians are significantly more successful than whites.
 
Since 1965, when the elites opened Americas doors to the Third  World, immigrants from Asia and India, people who are not white, were desperately poor, and requested no assistance have quietly and quickly succeeded.
 
While the children of these people are competitively earning entry the best schools in the nation by the droves, winning spelling bees and getting the top scores on the SAT, black youths, only 4% of the population, are still committing 7-out-of-10 of the country's violent crimes, which includes viciously knocking random white people on the street unconscious for the thrill of it; that has nothing to do with poverty.
 
The experiment has failed.
 
Not because of white culture, or white privilege, or white racism.  The fundamental problem is that American black culture has evolved into an un-fixable and permanent crime ridden mess.
 
They do not want to change their culture or society, and now fully expect non-blacks to tolerate their violence and amoral behavior.
 
They have become socially incompatible with other races and ethnic groups by their own desire and design, not because of the racism of others - but by their own hatred of non-blacks.
 
Our Liberal leaders don't seem to understand just how tired their white and other non-black subjects are with this experiment.
 
They don't understand that white people aren't out to get black people; they are just exhausted with them.
 
They are exhausted by their social pathologies, their violence, their endless complaints, and their blind racial solidarity, their bottomless pit of grievances, their excuses, and their reflexive animosity.
 
Like blacks, Liberal elites explain everything with, and blame everything on, racism directed at blacks, and refuse to believe that white frustration could soon reach the boiling point."---
 
"You can't legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom.  What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.  The government can't give to anybody anything that the government doesn't first take from somebody else.  When half of the people get the idea that they don't have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.  You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."
