2:15mins of straight and clear speaking from one of the better philosophers in the world today.

I would rather listen to AC Grayling than most other people talking about life, the universe and everything. He is great.

Dawkins is one of the wonderful things that has happened to the civilised world.
His critical analysis, objectivity in the search for truth, humanitarian ideals and compassion for fellow humans cutting across human erected barriers provide hope for the continuity of rational thought and civilised life,

That last quote from Bertrand Russell was my favorite quote for years. People got very tired of me quoting it, but I never did.

It was a bit misquoted here, though. 'Most people would rather die than think, and most people do, ' sends a bit of a different message than the original, which is:

'Most people would sooner die than think; in fact, they do so.'

The calmest of the so-called New Atheists. It is always comforting listening to him speak in that hushed happy voice of his. Dont miss any of his "On things" series.

I think this segment truly illuminates how profound and significant a rational perspective on the world is. It empowers us with the perspective to understand and navigate the world around us from the eyes of an individual to the scale of all of humanity. Minds like this move humankind forward.

I had angels in front of me wide awake, sure hundreds of dreams. But a few visions awake too, not in my head, eyes opened & spacetime itself parted. As if you could believe me. I had cried tears that turned to bread later, after I asked for the Spirit for a while reading, repenting, staying pure, deciding to at least finish it asking this way to see what happens, I was most shocked when Jesus started to come to me, but when HE filled me with the bliss of the Living Water, I was changed.

Is that the kind of love and respect the bible teaches? I - as an atheist and foremost a human being - wish you a good life, full of happiness and love

Thanks a lot :) I was more worried about being able to actually feed myself with a degree in philosophy and psychology.

I really do appreciate the encouragement, I mean philosophy is what I'm really passionate about.

Prof. Grayling has this amusing little smile that he brings in at the end of this video.

deeply profound. I would love to have a conversation with this guy...to present some of my assertions and see how he picks them apart. Most of the people i talk to do not have any deep philosophical ideas to present....another words they would rather not think, but there is hope; they are not dead yet.
