QuickBooks Online: Convert from Desktop

Question: We had a meltdown on the computer on which we had QB Desktop (2017 edition). Our working files are dead and gone: the drive is toast. BUT we do have fairly recent backups. If we go with QB Online will we be able to start with these .qbb files?

Hello! I created a new QB online account using your link and transferred all my data over successfully from QB desktop, however I am now trying to add Payroll to my Online services and it is not working. When I called QB support to inquire about this, they told me (after an hour and a half) that because I used a partner link/3rd party to pay that I am not allowed to add Payroll services. Has anyone else run into this situation or do you know how to resolve without starting over?

Hi Hector, really need your help. We upgraded our QuickBooks desktop version from 2019 to 2020 and 2020 to 2021 last year. but the monthly fee is too much. So i spent lump sum of money on the QuickBooks desktop premier 2019 version, only to find out that this version cannot open my latest company files... all our data are in those files ( they are in the 2021 version now) . what do i do to convert to 2021 files to the 2019 version,
