Out Now
Available here:

Back in 2010 Ministry of Sound were the first to bring you 'The Sound of Dubstep' on TV. A brand new compilation series which went on to sell over half a million copies, it's therefore no surprise that world's biggest dance label is once again ready to educate the masses on Today's most in demand genre across two immersive mixes. This is The Sound of Deep House.

This 2CD album includes the future #1 hit single 'Need U (100%)' from Duke Dumont, the huge #2 smash 'White Noise' from Disclosure plus the current Radio 1 record of the week 'So Good To Me' from Chris Malinchak.

There is absolutely no doubt of the genre's decent in to the mainstream, with Radio 1 & Capital FM play listing featured records from AlunaGeorge, Rudimental, Gorgon City Feat. Yasmin, Hot Natured and T.E.E.D and this summer's festival line ups being dominated by the likes of Maya Jane Coles, Maceo Plex, Infinity Ink, Eats Everything, Huxley and MK, 'Jamie Jones & Friends' has even sold out Brixton Academy over 2 nights.

The sound of this summer and beyond is, The Sound of Deep House.

"Deep house is a subgenre of house music that originated in the 1980s, initially fusing elements of Chicago house with 1980s jazz-funk and touches of soul music."

Deep house was largely pioneered by Larry Heard (Mr. Fingers) with tracks such as "Mystery of Love" (1985) and "Can You Feel It?" (1986);[1] the latter had a similar impact on deep house as Derrick May's "Strings Of Life" (1987) did on Detroit techno.

All of you complaining that it isn't 'deep house', it's on the commercial borderline end obviously, they're not going to put underground deep house songs on an album for the masses. For people just getting into deep house it's an okay start, and much better than some of their other compilation albums as of recent.

I honestly prefer the current 'house' sound with the bassline and trance, who goes into a club and wants to hear 80's music, this is fresh and modern, it has a taste of 80's and 90's but all in all, its the new era of house #lovinit

i was in ibiza a few months back and i was talking to a girl outside cafe mambo, and she was wearing a " I love house music" t-shirt, so i asked her who her favourite artist/producer was, she replied that she loved david guetta but avicii was her favourite, i stopped the conversation there and walked away

People complaining are just acting like hipsters. I grew up hearing the classic late 80s early 90s house music. Im glad these artists have brought back and updated that sound, aswell as fucked dubstep right off. Its great hitting clubs and having all these tunes banging out.
