you think making 6 figures coming out of college is that easy?
I'm going to show you all the expectations and reality of what it's actually like to be a software engineer. Of course, this is a work from home edition so it doesn't exactly reflect what it's like to be in the office. Hope you enjoy this video!

This is too real. However in my experience I rarely get to code nonstop and instead I write something small, watch it fail to build, troubleshoot for an hour and repeat lol

I love how genuine this happened to be! As a new software developer, I’ve experienced all of these things but I’ve begun to appreciate that asking questions are the only way to push through and not feel stuck. Awesome video!

Good job! This is real stuff! You can be lucky and work on something amazing, or you can work on something that do not have that much impact to the customer!

I just enjoyed this video so much. 😂 The struggle is real. Made me feel like there is someone who feels the same.
Keep making video that feels so real. Each one of them made me feel like yes I have felt the same.

I have been a software engineer for 2+ years. It's fun to work. Yeah sometimes, it takes extra time to code and test the feature. Everyday is not equally productive. Code takes time to get reviewed and approved. But guess what, all these are the part of job and you gotta learn to enjoy the process.

Best wishes. Keep it up. Looking forward for more videos. 🙏

Im a DevOps engineer and just laughed so damn hard at this. I watch SWE's on my team, both junior and senior, do ALL of these things. That last bit was pure gold.

Software Engineering is like solving a million puzzles at once. And as one could expect, it never goes right the first attempt :D But for me the fun part is when it finally works. After all the hours and frustration you get the ball rolling, so that is a really satisfying thing, atleast to me.

Do software Engineers actually build/creates algorithms from their day to day work? Or what is it that you guys actually do? Not that I don't know what you guys are really working on, but I just want to coming from a SWE's perspective.
