The LG Wing In 2023: Is The Swivel Smartphone Still Worth It?

As a samsung galaxy z fold owner in 2024 I gotta say, I want this phone! Micro sd card support up to 2TB, full screen with a pop up camera, two screens, good cameras with gimble mode for steady videos and its a beautiful phone. Good video👏🏼👍🏼.

I just ordered one brand new and I am excited to set it up and start using! I went to metropcs in 2018 and still using the phone that I got with promotion Samsung Galaxy A20 still working strong! I just wanted something better and different!

I have 2 LG Wings, the first one is still performing great especially, since being updated to Android 13. You are right, the phone is a head turner 😮, every time I swivel it open, at least one person ask me, what is that!! Great job on the video presentation.

Have had mine since it came out. Still works perfectly. Still gets ooohs, and awhhhs. I think it's completely worth it!

I definitely agree as I love this phone, had it for a few months and it's actually growing on me even more the longer I use it. I'm always finding new ways to make use of the swivel, and the coolest thing about it is starting conversations - you literally don't need to speak to have a conversation lol
Jokes aside, there aren't many downsides to this especially if you're a heavy user who likes to customize their phone just the way they like. I use Wallpaper engine and KWGT (or whatever it is) and it brings the screen to life! The main one is gorgeous without a notch, the second one doesn't matter as much, I use it for widgets and other secondary things but it's still very decent, barely any difference in quality.
60hz isn't a deal breaker, coming from someone that plays fps games like cod:m, combat master, even genshin impact, everything is smooooth, thermal throttling is somewhat annoying for longer sessions but meh I'm not gonna have the time to get there everyday so I can live with it. Still supported is a plus.

The design is not meant for 2020 it's definitely the form factor for 2030 with all the 2023+ specs.

Definitely worth it still in 2023. Like u stated it can be purchased for under $400 compared to $1200 - $1700 for a phone with a comparable wealth of features and they don't even have the cool and very handy swivel/dual screen orientation that allows me to have both my GPS app and music streaming service (among others) running displaying simultaneously on separate screens. I considered upgrading to another brand's flagship model 2 months ago when I fractured the screen on my Wing but ultimately after researching thoroughly none of the current top models excited me enough to pay $1000+ for it. Replaced it with another Wing... The main problem with the LG Wing which is a real negative is that there is no way to protect the phone from drop damage while retaining instant access to the features available in swivel/dual screen mode. This is my 3rd phone. But then again that's how much I love it. If I crack this 3rd one hopefully it'll be soon so I can get another before they' re all gone. Lol.
