I cannot believe Celtic were awarded a penalty for that and VAR didn’t step in. The Hearts player has NOTHING wrong. He did not tackle him, pull his jersey, nothing. The Celtic player has dived. VAR is there to step in and let the referee know that a clear and obvious error has been made, but yet agains that didn’t happen.

Not sure what Brendan Rodgers is complaining about with the officials. Looks like all the calls were spot on...even though the ref needed to go to VAR for all the big ones. Maybe Rodgers should focus on how he and Celtic bottled a 9 point lead instead of blaming the refs and VAR.

So many mutants complaining about VAR and John Beaton in the VAR room... here's my take on it.

1. Celtic's "penalty" was never a penalty, if Idah scores it we don't hear any other complaints from them, just because Clark saves it doesn't change the fact it should never have been awarded, justice served in that case
2. Studs at head height is endangering an opponent, therefore it's a red card by the laws of the game
3. Hearts penalty is soft but that handball in the middle of the park the ref is giving a freekick, so by the same token if it happens in the box it's a penalty, Celtic would be wanting it if the shoe was on the other foot
4. VAR helped Celtic out with Shankland's "offside" goal, the lines looked a bit suspect to me 🤣🤣
5. Even if the Hearts penalty wasn't given, Hearts still win the game 1-0
6. VAR only calls the ref over to look at the incidents again, any grumbles anyone should have is with Don Robertson not John Beaton or VAR
7. Learn to keep your mouths shut until you're team actually gets the points on the board, nothing over the last couple months suggested Celtic were gonny go to Tynecastle and win, in fact most times Celtic have dropped points this season has been immediately after a big win.
