Tenancy mei State laws mei koi provision nahi hai jo yeh clearly resolve kar sake.
Tenant ke perspective se agreement mei clearly mention hona chahie payments and refund se related. Only undisputed bills like pending electricity bill, broadband charges, etc. hee deposit amount se deduct hona chahie.
Ek solution yeh bhi hai where aap aur aapka landlord mutually decide kar sakte ho when exactly the deposit gets refunded. Usually, deposit immediately return kiya jata hai upon vacating the premises.
Agar landlord nahi de, toh the tenant can legally continue staying bina kisi rent ke and should also receive interest unpaid deposit amount pr.
