In my opinion I don't think C!Sam can be fully redeemed. He has done too many selfish and messed up stuff. BUT. I do want to see a small plotline where Sam get attached to Michael, and Michael grows to like him more (maybe sam can become a sort of chaotic good uncle). So later, when Tubbo and Techno come to kill him, Michael stands up to them and protects Sam. But they reveal all the terrible stuff that Sam has done, so Michael loses faith in him. And after some emotional shenanigans, Sam can truly begin redeeming himself.

c!Sam basically sacrificed his entire moral compass to keep c!Dream in the prison, it was the only thing that mattered to him for a while. He cut off Ponks arm, let Tommy die, and a bunch of other bad stuff all because he thought he was justified to keep Dream locked up. Sam couldn't bear to let Dream escape, because then he would've lost lots of his friendships for nothing. He still cares about his friends/moral compass, but he pretends not to care, maybe so that it hurts less.

Edit: I can't tell whether this animatic aged like milk or wine but it sure did age

Sam is so gonna get attached to Michael. Lmao the kid became his new prisoner and he'd probably want to do better with someone who hadn't actually done anything wrong

and also OH MY GOD that was an incredible animatic with great multiple frames. Some scenes were so smooth, the colors were beautiful and I liked the transitions to each scene so much.

c!Sam is such a good character, having to compartmentalize his emotions as the Warden (and losing sight of his own hypocrisy in the process), but with his friends outside of work is the immature jokester we see and love through Hannah, Puffy, Bad, and everyone else's streams. And this animation is just a gorgeous reminder that at the end of the day, he's just another guy that's struggling to figure out his purpose.

As someone who finds c!Awesamdude facinating as a character, I appreciate this animatic. The composition of the shots and the plotline are really cool as well. I love the touch of Sam taking of his mask before turning off the prison lights, how he changed out of his armor, and how he held his hands up to show Michael that he didn't mean any harm. Michael's quivering hands and holding out the sword in front of him was so cute and another amazing detail. Great job on the animatic!

I think the only thing that Sam needs redemption for was the fact that he used a pickaxe to mine through wood planks in the flashbacks.

sam is such a cool character and has been written so well to show how big of a hole he was digging for himself. ;-; plz boi you need to calm down

Currently unsure how to feel about c!Sam rn. He murdered my favourite character but, this animatic seems to have changed things up for how I feel about him.

I can see it now. Sam's gonna get attached to Michael and when Tubbo comes back for him, they will fight over him. They'll both see him as a son and be unwilling to give him up

I feel C!Sam is a misunderstood character. People hate him for a lot of things he's done, but in reality, he's trying to do what he thinks is right, but mistakenly does the wrong thing for the right reason. He's just now realizing that he's been doing it wrong. He's finally learning from his mistakes.
