i don't think a single person could have predicted this would be the national championship game matchup in two years

Who would have thought this game 28 months later would be the national championship and both teams would be in the same conference in 2024.

Crazy to think back that just a little over two years ago Michigan was unranked. They’ve gone 40-3 since then and 29-1 against conference opponents.

Also funny that their current stretch of dominance pretty much started with this 21-point victory over Washington and two seasons later they won the Natty with a 21-point victory over Washington. In both games they had over 300 rushing yards and under 150 passing yards, too.

Going back even further, the final game of the season they won their last Natty (1997) was a win over Washington State. Washington’s last Natty was in 1991, and their last game of that season was against Michigan.

Apparently Michigan and the state of Washington are inextricably intertwined.

This is the team that we thought had brought us to the mountaintop. They are the ones who beat OSU for the first time in over a decade. What great players! Now, they are seen as the foundation.

This was a great game to watch. I watched it with my grandfather... the person I owe my michigam Fandom to..
After the game ended we spent about am hour talking about michigan and if they'd be any good last season...we both said if our offense can just hit a few more big plays, MAYBE this could be the year we take down ohio state... it was a really nice conversation we had... ill never forget it in my life... because 3 hours later. My grandfather died... inwish he could've seem how this season had turned out

I love Hassan’s passion for his game. Every time he’s stopped short of a 1st down or TD when he knows that he could’ve done a lot more had he just broken 1 more tackle, he shows his frustration at himself before he gets back up. I’m gonna miss this guy when he goes to the NFL
