Thanks Nath. The thing that's always bothered me about the upgrade path is the potential for time limitations - I remember that very much being a factor in the transition from PS3 to PS4 so it's surprising how open-ended it's been sounding this time around.

Not sure how soon I'll be able to get a PS5; may well not be before the end of next year, so am feeling a bit uneasy about how little publishers have been openly saying on the subject so far. It'll be unfortunate if some games start pulling the plug on the upgrade path during next year, having kept quiet about timescales initially
. I think it's only the annually-released sports games that have publicly stated a time limit so far (which makes sense for an annual series).

Do we at least have any guarantee the first-party publisher games (like Horizon) won't be time limited? Would be reassuring to know.

Other developers will offer you a free upgrade from ps4 into ps5

i upgraded the games but it’s showing them as completely different it’s showing the ps4 and the ps5 editions separately and when i go into the game that is a ps5 version i don’t have my normal save how can i transfer my save from ps4 edition to ps5 edition? at least fix it and make it simpler for us because many of us don’t want to grind over and over again
