Unpacking my most recent PCB order.

These are some much needed 1U utilities that are meant to be used with the 3D printed case.

All pcb’s and front panels were done in EasyEDA and manufactured by JLCPCB.

Just to be clear, I paid for all of this myself. No sponsoring, no coupons, etc. Just excited about my new toys!

Because these are intended for diy, I tried to keep the designs simple and use basic components wherever possible. I wouldn’t want beginners to have to shop with 3 different suppliers to get the parts.
With 0805 and SOIC the assembly shouldn’t be too hard with a basic soldering iron and tweezers.

For the three 1U modules I tried out their pcb assembly option for the first time. Risky move on a first revision board, but the price was cheap enough to give it a shot anyways.

“Thanks Tom for making your modules open source” isn’t the proper shoutout to someone that is one of the synth diy greats.
Tom Whitwell is part of the same league as Ken Stone, Emilie Gillet, Ray Wilson, who all changed the game for diy. ❤
