How to Use Can, Could, Would & May

Here's Part 1 in a series (if you guys request more!) on Modal Verbs. We're looking at making requests using: Can, Could, Would, May.

To expand on this, you can also use "will", but I wanted to keep this video as simple as possible. It's also not the most useful one.
But here's an example anyway: "Will you open the window for me?"
"Might" can also be used for requests, but it's quite old-fashioned now and you almost never hear it in daily conversation.

If you liked this, let me know and I'll do more!

It is extremely helpful for me to understand the differences among these four confusing modal verb, and especically, when you took the specific examples to demonstrate some tiny and subtle differences. Thank you.

Thank you sooo much for the video. I wonder in "would you mind if I sit / sat here?"-- are both 'sit' and 'sat' acceptable?

Ask a is very strong like: as, lass. But break is too weak
