Wow! As a new SketchUp user I have been struggling building the cabinets in my model because I have had to completely build every single door due to the different sizes. This will save me tons of time and headaches. Big thanks my friend!

I had been using box stretching via simple ctrl key, and had the line for both centering and giving me the precise dim to scale to using tab for entering the length. What I was missing was splitting the center plane. Now that is cool. Just what I was missing for complex components. Saves a few steps! Thanks for posting this tutorial. Always good.

If you stretch to a size accurately, you can use the tab key to enter this value for stretching.

This saves me from purchasing a kitchen extension, I'm not doing kitchens often so free cabinet's from the 3D warehouse with this tool will get me enough to build from.

Another awesome video Justin, thank you! It's not quite as easy as using Parametrics in Fusion, but this really helps with most simple projects. Love your videos, I'm a patron, keep them coming.

For me its also a big help with resizing geometry that has been optimized for rendering. Chamfered edges make it look so much nicer, but rescaling is a big pain. FredoScale makes it easy peazy.

I believe you mean "reference" not inference. Great video and tool. Thank you!

Thanks nice. I'm used to the issues with the normal stretch tool and know how to work around them so not sure I'll make the effort to change my workflow but who knows :)

Isn't it easier to make a dynamic window component? This way you can change the dimensions to the window opening. You have to invest some time in building a dynamic component but it will be worth it. For the cabinet it's something different, because there are a lot of variants and probably a lot of components inside each other, so this scale tool will be useful. But if I would have a lot of time i would make some basic dynamic cabinets as well. Don't get me wrong it's a good vid, keep up the good work!
