FROM KEMPER:

Elevate your PROFILER Player
The PROFILER Player is the most powerful package from Kemper in regards of tone and footprint. Now, the time has come even to add some extra gravitas, increase the impact of the Player's footprint!
And here it is: The feature Boost for your PROFILER Player. And the Boost comes in two flavours - LVL II & LVL III

The LVL II Boost is exactly what you expected and wished for. You get all the amazing FX types the PROFILER is famous for. And yes, this includes the amazing "big machine"-type Reverbs, Delays, the Pitch Shifters, the Shapers, and all the Modulation FX.

And yes, there is the Kemper Drive System and Kemper Fuzz System, there are all the Equalizers. And there is access to the highly acclaimed Impedance Switch you all love from the PROFILER Stage for getting that ultra-authentic feel and behavior of your FUZZ tones.

And there is Morphing. Yes, the unique morphing - just hit a Rig Button again and Morphing will take your gentle crunch tone to a screaming banshee that's surfing on a wave of healthy delay and reverb - just to return to its quieter self if you hit that rig button again.
Alternatively, you can seamlessly navigate the amount of morphing with any Expression pedal.

Of course, it doesn't stop here. After you went to LVL II and got all the FX - now you might want more of these FX at the same time. And a looper, rig spillover control, etc.

Add the LVL III Boost - You didn't even dream about this one:
This one essentially shoots your PROFILER Player into the PROFILER Stage-league! To be able to apply the LVL III upgrade it is mandatory to have the LVL II upgrade already installed. Of course, you can purchase both LVL II and LVL III as one package and install them in just one go!

You'll get all the effects, and all the FX-Blocks. That's 4 4 pre-stack, 4 post-stack. And of course, there is more space for your rigs. The Player Upgrade LVL III gives you 125 banks with 5 rigs each, leading to a total amount of 625 Rigs.

Taking your PROFILER Player on tour? No problem, just hook it up via MIDI and switch through your entire show. At local gigs, Clubs, and of course stadiums and arenas.

KEMPER PROFILER PLAYER - THE LITTLE GREEN BEAST PREMIUM PEDAL

KEMPER PROFILER PLAYER - THE LEGACY AND THE NEXT INCARNATION OF THE PROFILER PLATFORM

The KEMPER PROFILER has changed the world of guitar tone significantly. The acclaimed KEMPER PROFILING technology and the brand-new Liquid Profiles provide the best amp tones anytime and anywhere possible - offering consistent accuracy and also a convenient package for touring, traveling, and studio use.

The KEMPER PROFILER Player is the latest and the most complete serving of professional amp tones and studio-grade FX per footprint. Requiring only the floorboard space of two standard distortion pedals the PROFILER Player turns any pedal board into an arena-grade touring rig. And, what’s more, the Player indeed itself is already the arena-grade touring rig that fits in every guitar bag. It offers the full arsenal of KEMPER amp tones (yes, the Amp section of the Player sounds identical to the amp section of its famous Big Brothers - it loads any amp PROFILE from the vast library of existing free and commercial PROFILEs), selected FX settings, IR loading, and switching capabilities - at home, in the studio, in the rehearsal room, and on stage.

Thank you for actually reviewing these rather than just complaining like everyone else seems to have done.

Thank You For Demoing this. Not to many YouTubers are demoing this. I only hear about the paid upgrade and complaining about how paying for the upgrades suck.

Thank you for the good videos regarding the Kemper Player. Most people don’t understand how much work is involved in maintaining software. It is not only the firmware, but also the tools and connectivity (iOS, macOS, Windows, etc) which need to be constantly maintained (beside UI/UX, Cyber security regulations are becoming a large cost driver for example) to stay relevant. Personally a one time payment seems fair to me, it could be also an SaaS solution, which I am sure will be seen soon introduced by one of the competitors in that segment. Welcome to 2025 to all the haters :-)

I’m intrigued. As a long-time Kemper user (powered head with Kemper Kab) it’s become my go-to for recording (via SPDif) as well live. All my sounds are in one box, high quality, easy on the back, sound guys are happy, while I still have my own small monitor. I use it for both electric and for acoustics (bypassing the amp and speaker section, so essentially a luxurious DI with effects).
I do actually like the layout of the remote (haven’t used any pedal board in years) with banks of 5 (like my old midi switcher I use for my real amps and my rack systems).
So, with that the Player may be a good option to travel even lighter for sessions, flights, etc while (I guess) having access to my current presets (with some limitations it seems). So not sure if I’m still better off getting the Stage as backup/secondary or if I can make this little guy work as a base model. The only extra feature in the upgrades that I may like is the morphing. I guess I’ll have to understand how you access banks of five in a device that only has three switches…

Also, a really nice parallel feature in the Kemper is hidden behind the DLY+REV Routing knob in the Rig menu - it allows you to blend between delay and reverb being in series (aka normal) and them being in parallel, e.g. reverb only on the dry signal, but not on the delay repeats. (It does only work if the delay is actually in the DLY slot, and the reverb is actually in the REV slot.)

Did you happen to notice if when using app, the tuner can be seen as strobe mode?

Nice video. I have a Player and did the upgrade LVL III, love the eight blocks, been learning how to "asign" switches. I do not understand one thing. Originally the player came with 10 "Banks" with 5 rigs per Bank for a total of 50 rigs on the player itself. Now there are 625 rigs on 125 "Banks"? Huh? I see the 625 in Rig Manager on the software, but when I'm using the iPhone App is there a way to accsess Bank 102 for example. I still only see 10 Banks. Am I missing something???

Thanks for the demo! I have a Kemper player and the Kemper PowerRack. I bought a Tonex pedal for $75 more instead of upgrading my Kemper Player. Good deal, happy with it. It's a shame the money you have to pay for the Kemper upgrade in my opinion.

I had the Line6 Pod XTlive last time. i remembered paying for an upgrade, expansion packs, gave me some bass amps as well as metal amps, couldn't really remember after 17 18 years ago. Now everyone wants free stuffs.

Even paying for the upgrades the kemper player is great value. An FM3 from Fractal is considerably more expensive and limited compared to the flagship fractal products.

People can GTFO with Tonex. It's a toy in comparison. I sold mine after a month.

Trying to make paid upgrades normal. You are unique in stumping up the cash. Too bad Kemper is off the table. They can get their money from suckers and Youtubers. I'll never consider them as a viable purchase. Thank you Kemper for making my choice simpler.
Greed always destroys in the end.

I'm so opposed to the very concept that I'm hiding every video about it from my feed to avoid the stress of having to think about this travesty. Pandora's box. Good thing I refuse to go digital. Nobody can make me pay to use my hand wired tube amps, but sure I'm the fool lol I'm literally laughing at all the guys who laughed at my amps.
