The sea king looks surprisingly incredible, some of the sets look good some look really silly like the didn't even attempt to make it look somewhat realistic like adapting batman into adam west instead of robert Pattinson, some things can look amazing taken straight from the page some require some artistic tweaking. Over all though im cautious but hopeful

I wish these companies would understand that sometimes the medium in which a story is told is part of why the story works the way it does. I can not see how the wackiness of One Piece can possibly work in live action not matter how faithful you can be. Some stories should never have a live action adaptation.

I am a fan of this anime since I was a child, I know it will be very hard to satisfy everyone who love this anime or at least meet the expectation. But I think this live action worth to watch if they commit to the original story line and every uniqueness of each character and their relationship development which made us fall in love with this anime in the first place. And also my biggest hope is Netflix can adapt or keep the comedy or comical action in the show, because it wouldn't be One Piece without at least a little bit of the comedy. In the end, I know we all want Straw Hat Pirates to become a real live action and we don't want it to let us down, can't wait for August!

The best part about the trailer was zoro sword choreography and usopp's character. They are making it into their own thing which personally is a good choice as it is difficult to adapt 1:1 and the rest is about at what i was expecting from a live adaptation.

I feel like they should've gone with a younger cast. They're the right age rn, but we will probably only get 1 season every 1-2 years. They're going to age out of their roles too fast.

Honestly, this could be really fun, I think it did a good job leaning into the cartoon aesthetic, if it's a fun time, I'm in.
