Thank you very much. You helped me overcome a residual issue created when I renewed my AVG subscription on 3 systems. I owe you one :) Just an FYI: I was not able to delete the individual files but was successful by deleting the folder which took the files with it. All fixed now:) Thanks again

i cant stop the windows update it is fixed to manual (Trigger Start), startup type = Manual (grey colored) cant change

If you can't delete ur files then wait till the next day then restart ur pc cos that worked for me

when u stop it when u delete the files do u try do the update with the windows update off in services or do u start it again and then do the update

Nevermind I got it, windows update decided to start up right after I stopped it without me realizing
